Valentine's Day!

Although mi amor Shern Ren calls it "Singlehood Awareness Day", and despite the fact that I felt all rotten about Valentine's Day last night -- today rocked!

Okay - let's give my dear readers a boringly detailed account of the day:

1) I wore the black top that Vanessa got me for Christmas! Whee~ Everybody kept reading my shirt all day, but the alphabets started coming off! :( I felt so sad about that -- but I'm definitely going to wear it again! Thanks, mi amor Vanessa, it fits well now! It's much looser now than when we first saw it at TopShop! Hahahah! In class, Mak & Seng Ming were like.. "smexy? what's smexy? ooh, smexyyy"... and "wah what's that? mama-mama... mamacita..." o-O"... and funnier still, complete strangers were reading the back of my shirt!! Blardy farney to turn a bit and see people reading your shirt la.. hahaha...

2) Rameera got me a Valentine's Day card! But she left it in her apartment as she was showing it off to her room-mates! HAHAHAHAH that's meeeera for you! She's so sweet la - she got me a pair of really classy earrings for CNY also... ehehe... then she go and buy me some more presents from the stalls set up today.. got her & Carmen presents.. sorry to the rest of my friends, if I didn't get anything for you! :( I will give you your presents another time ok!

2) Moral class. Nothing happened. Boring, boring, boring. The lecturer hates us. LOL! Everybody listens to their MP3 players & handphones (with the music inside that type haha) and chitchats in class or does other work. And we didn't get back our exam papers - I wonder how I am going to learn from my mistakes?

3) Math. Whee~ Mr Yee rocks as a mentor la. H1 is so lucky to have him -- we could have gotten any other crap mentor instead, but we got a new, enthusiastic lecturer. Lucky right?? And I can do my math in class! Yay! Not in any math trouble at the moment. But still haven't studied the GC yet ... mi amor TSR gonna tutor me if I don't get it :) thank goodness for friends!

4) Malaysian Studies. One of my favourite subjects! Mr Tong tells us the craziest stories... from during the communist rule to the number of wives that his friend in Serdang New Village had. Wha wha it's just fascinating.. I always like history :P... well, when it's told well la.

5) Economics. :D We got back our Common Test 1 results today! And I've been worried sick about it, because Mrs Goh said about 10 students FAILED .. and she said she was really disappointed, because this was only the first topic and so many of us did so badly already.. and I had a really, really bad feeling that I could be one of the 10. I mean, I didn't have time to finish my paper properly -- I rushed through everything and went about 5 seconds past "Pens down".

Then, during the final 15 minutes of the lesson, she started handing back our papers.. I started zoning out.. wondering "What am I going to do if I failed? How do I deal with it? What do I tell my parents?".. then all of a sudden, I heard her say "The highest is 47. Good... Sha-Lene.." -- and smiling, she handed me back my paper. At first, I thought those were two separate statements.. the first being that the highest score in class was 47 over 50. Secondly, she was calling my name to take my paper.

But then I looked at my paper, as it was being passed from her hands to mine in midair -- and I saw: 47/50 -- Good. Wha wha wha wha!!!! I was ECSTATIC!! Buford and the rest of the people around my table were looking at my paper, and they were saying something like "Wah so high!" or something la.. couldn't really hear, my eyes were practically tearing up from relief. I didn't fail.. hahah, and I got highest in class! Wow! It was so unexpected! :) I was really, really lucky -- and I'm very thankful! So, out of the 5% of my internal assessment that has now been marked.. I have scored a 4.7%... Happy happy happy -- best Valentine's Day ever! ;P

The scoring was quite close la, though... Laura Yoong got 46, Mingie got 45... hmm I think Li Shan got 41.. Buford got 39... some of my friends failed :( so I didn't know how to act... I was really happy, and I tend to show it when I am happy.. and I am also quite bad at comforting people... :( ... but I will help them if they want me to help la.. I won't leave them in their times of need la.. that I can do.. haha... :)

6) ESL. Hmm.. my Research Proposal was crap.. :( Need to redo the whole thing. Which means my General Outline is crap. Oh, crap. And the General Outline is being graded. Hurkk... then Mrs Banu assigned the class into 3 groups to write a 5-paragraph essay. Wah, some of my classmates were fighting to get into my group! Damn farney! Seng Ming went under his table and popped out between me & An Nie so that he was confirmed in the group.. hahaha... they all, jokers la.. I think this may be because my friends think I am very "semangat ESL" haha.. but no la.. I just like languages... so I try harder lo. ;)

7) Accounting Studies. ... hmm something weird happened today... two of the SAM Office administrators came into our classroom before lecture and sat at the back. Then they listened and took notes throughout the lecture. :S I asked Rameera and Alison what that was all about, and they said.. maybe our lecturer was being evaluated. Wah. Then I said, "In that case we should be on our best behaviour la..." ... but LOL it didn't happen! My class was as noisy as usual... and paid even less attention to her today. :( So how? I mean, maybe my lecturer is not the best Accounts lecturer in the whole college la, but I don't think it's fair to her if she loses her job or anything. I feel sorry for her... However, this is out of my hands. All I can do is pray that my total lack of accounting background for SPM will not be a disadvantage for me on Monday's Common Test 1. :)

8) Went to the EUCLID Math Contest briefing today at 3pm, Lecture Theater 7. Hmm.. I would probably try it out if it DIDN'T cost RM30 for registration (and there's no Cert of Participation! Only Cert of Distinction & Top student medal)... so I don't think I'll go la. My math is about as good as a two-year-old's in comparison to Carmen's and Shern Ren's... and they are some of the people going for the contest. Hahaha! I hope they win!

9) Want to say thanks to Mary, Natasha & Jet Xin for the V-Day presents! *Mwah*!!!
