Tutorial Day 1

Currently in the middle of a ridiculously busy week, which only leads up to a ridiculously busy month.

Wednesday - ESL Tutorial Day 1 (Sara, Keith & me)
Thursday - ESL Tutorial Day 2 (Rameera, Melissa & Seng Ming)
Friday - Accounts Class Test: MYOB Assignment

Thursday -> Tuesday - Economics Assignment
Wednesday - Economics Common Test

Later in July, Malay oral presentations on our investigative studies & Math common test.

Boo.

My ESL tutorial today was a lot more enjoyable that I had dared hoped for! Mrs Banu was in a pretty good mood, and although we encountered a slight glitch at the start, where student X:Drives couldn't be accessed using the computer there -- so all of us had to wait for Sara to transfer her slideshow into a thumbdrive using a library computer. That resulted in us starting at 8.15am.

I must admit that I was really quite worried at that point, because each person was given 15 minutes & I was the last person... and I was pretty much terrified that I was going to have to rush through everything at the end, like what Sarah Goon had to do the previous day during her tutorial!

Fortunately, all's well ends well... Keith started first (so that Sara could catch her breath) and although I had worried and worried about the what-ifs of my behaviour during the group discussions (I was scared that I wouldn't say anything, and get marked down for "not participating in group discussions"), but when it came to it, I found myself speaking okay. *phew* Keith's topic was "War: Does it bring more negative effects?"

Then Sara was next, with her topic "Vandalism: Are teens the only vandals?"... where I asked a question for the Q&A, hehe, "Is there a difference between vandalism and graffiti?" ... and then, about a minute to 8.45am, it was my turn.

Dum dum dum dum!

My topic was "Working mothers versus homemakers: Should mother go to work?" ... and my whole tutorial was 15 minutes and 1 second. Ha, ha, ha... towards the end, it got really funny because I suddenly brought up the male status quo & the dudes started a debate with the girls about the whole men-are-better-than-women issue. Haha! Whoopsie daisy. Well, I saved it with a "Well, I'm afraid that raises a whole different issue altogether, ha, ha" because Mrs Banu was whispering at me to wind it up now... funny people.

Bottom liner: my ESL tutorial group rocks weih!

Everyone works hard, tries hard, co-operates and knows how to still have a little bit of fun doing serious work. :) Melissa, Rameera, Sara, Seng Ming & Keith -- you've earned a big space on my blog!

P.S: Bragging rights for whoever can guess who is driving the car in the picture above! :] People who were in that car are not allowed to guess!

P.P.S: Andrew's wrong - it's not me! Haha! You people ar.. how can the driver be me when I was taking the picture from the back seat, where I was sitting with Carmen? hahahaa!
