Getting Away With Laughing

Hola mi amors!

Week 2 of South Australian Matriculation at Taylor’s College has officially commenced! Hehe thanks for the input on acronyms, Weiling – speaking of which, I had my very first LAN 1005 lesson today… Moral Education. Unless I got confused between LAN 1003 and LAN 1005..

Well anywayy, haha, I didn’t quite grasp the whole point of today's lecture! The lecturer just randomly touched on things like how small the TCSJ campus actually is, and that there were 2 buses on the UKM campus itself, and how a bus couldn't even do a U-turn on TCSJ grounds, haha... All I registered was that we were in a very funny-looking lecture theater (it didn’t really look like a lecture theater, more like a big cold classroom with wall-to-wall carpeting and annoying fold-up tables.. the worst thing about these kind of tables is that if you're unlucky, you'll get the ones which slant to one side, so all your things will constantly be slipping off the table. Grr.)..

In a more detailed light of things, the TCSJ bus is really not big on punctuality -- we make it in the nick of time to the college area, and we still have to walk for another 2 minutes to get to TCSJ. By the time we get to the ground floor, I've got about 4 minutes to climb up FOUR flights of stairs (Taylor's College buildings are really narrow and positively smothered with flights of stairs! Hahahaha) and actually find my classroom. All my classes are in Dxx (4th floor), Bxx (2nd floor) or lecture theaters.. the "xx" being two digits. Also, even-numbered classrooms are on the opposite ends of odd-numbered classrooms -- so if you get say, D25 from 8-9am, followed by D24 from 9-10am; you have to walk all the way to the back of the block you are at. Something like that, haha!

Besides that, I've got regular bus buddies now! Haha, I'm really lucky that Kathryn, Lee Ting & Carmen are on my bus. Tai Jia & Adrian Yam (Kok Hing) too -- everyone's really nice & looks after each other! :) A lot of my friends joke that it's like a big DJ society being formed in TCSJ, which I guess is at least a little bit true! Being in a new place with at least a dozen familiar faces is a very sweet deal; it really makes you appreciate everyone much, more more.

So how do I spend my days in college? I wake up, get ready for college, go to the bus stop at about 7am, sit on the bus for a good part of an hour... attend classes ... and lunch break! Lunch break is one of my favourite times of the day. It's not that I don't enjoy my lessons, but you can just chit chat and lounge around with your friends as much as you like, for a whole hour! The cafeteria is a very comfortable place, really -- by the way, the high-tables aren't very practical, now that I've used them a couple of times, haha.

I usually have lunch with my classmates Rameera Kaur from Port Dickson & Laura Yoong from Seremban, but most of the time, other friends join us. Hmm like on Friday, Kathryn ate with us while we were "studying" during break, haha. Ended up doing only a teensy bit of my math homework.. Today was very interesting, because I made friends with a couple of girls from my class (Melissa Mok & Jillian Yeow) and they told us to pull up chairs & join them. You can guess what happened, pretty soon we were the noisiest part of the cafeteria! Giggling & laughing & talking nonstop -- the joys of a big, fun group! Don't worry, we couldn't have possibly been so festive with only 5 girls -- Natasha Lim & Vivien Lim Jet Xin joined us at the table. So we became the outrageously happy H1 girls-only lunch table!~

After lunch, we resumed lessons... Today it was a bit more ticklish because when a big group of girls get together, they usually cook a joke up. And we did, although we couldn't pull it off! :( Anyway, it served us well for a feverish amount of giggling and snorting! Hehe. Then after college, I went to the library -- bumped into Chu Jie, Lee Ting, Michelle, and Kathryn there. Hehehe I should have realised then and there that I wasn't going to get any homework done! Oh my gosh, I forgot to mention that Yi Ping, Mabel & Sin Yee were there too! Okay okay, at least I managed to complete ONE whole question. Number 7. That was a tough one! *giggles*

All righty, Denise is picking me up at 10.30am-ish tomorrow for the "class outing", which really isn't going to see more than a dozen ex-5 Cengalians! :( Daphne & Lydia won't be going, for one thing. Yi Ping & Sin Yee will prolly not go. Aiyer I don't know exactly who will be going, but at least me & Denise will be there and will be able to get a bit of shopping done! :D Also, I want to see Wei June & Mark again! :)
