Religion vs Relationship

Hola mi amors and bonjour mon amis!

Today was really, really interesting.

I love those days where I learn something about the people around me, and something really important about the culture I live by.

I went across the campus to The HUB for what I thought would be a "Relgion vs Relationship" talk today (with Rameera & armed with directions from mi amor Shern Ren), and then walked right into InKafe. Wrong place. Whoops. Had to walk out and go a little bit to the right hahaha. Then climbed up an unimaginable number of flights of stairs... and ta-da, Meera & I stepped into a room where everyone shook our hands and asked for our names. The event was organised by Asian Youth Ambassadors (AYA), which is run by a church. Uh-huh. Something like CF from secondary school!

It was quite nice lah, because everyone sang songs for about an hour.. I liked the singing part, although I preferred listening to people give insightful speeches... but anyway, the songs were really nice -- and it was fascinating to watch how immersed in prayer the people around me were! You know, holding up one palm & speaking in tongue. But sadly, when the guy started his speech, my bus came and I had to leave! :(

Quite a cool experience though! Haha, might go again next time.
